Effective Date: March 1, 2026
Last Updated: March 1, 2026

This privacy policy explains what information AMCollege.us (“AMCollege,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects from visitors to this website, how we use that information, and the choices you have regarding your data. By using this website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you subscribe to our email newsletter, submit a contact form, or correspond with us by email, you provide information such as your name, email address, and the content of your message. We collect only the information necessary to fulfill the purpose of your interaction — for example, an email address to deliver a newsletter you requested.

We do not require account creation to access content on this site. We do not collect payment information, social security numbers, or other sensitive personal identifiers through this website.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit AMCollege.us, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies. This includes:

  • IP address (anonymized in our analytics configuration)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL (the page that linked you to our site)
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Date and time of your visit
  • Device type (desktop, tablet, mobile)
  • Approximate geographic location (country and region level, derived from anonymized IP)

This data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify individual visitors.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • To deliver email newsletters and updates you have subscribed to
  • To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form or email addresses
  • To analyze website traffic and understand how visitors use our content, so we can improve it
  • To measure the performance of our content and identify topics of interest to our audience
  • To detect and prevent spam, abuse, or unauthorized access to our systems

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

AMCollege.us uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to support site functionality and analytics. The cookies we use fall into the following categories:

Essential cookies are required for basic site functionality, such as remembering your cookie consent preferences. These cannot be disabled without affecting site operation.

Analytics cookies are placed by Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to help us understand traffic patterns, popular content, and visitor behavior in aggregate. GA4 is configured with IP anonymization enabled. Google’s privacy policy governs its processing of analytics data: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, though doing so may affect site functionality. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

Email Marketing

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored and processed by ConvertKit (Kit), our email marketing platform. ConvertKit processes subscriber data in accordance with its own privacy policy: https://kit.com/privacy.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out of email communications at any time by clicking that link or by emailing privacy@amcollege.us with the subject line “Unsubscribe.” We process unsubscribe requests within 48 hours.

We do not share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Third-Party Links

Our content contains links to external websites, including educational platforms, software tools, and professional organizations. Some of these links are affiliate links marked with the rel="sponsored" attribute.

When you click a third-party link, you leave AMCollege.us and become subject to that site’s privacy policy. We are not responsible for the data collection practices of external websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit through our links.

Data Retention

Email subscriber data is retained for as long as your subscription remains active. When you unsubscribe, your email address is removed from our active mailing list within 48 hours. ConvertKit may retain anonymized data for its own analytics purposes as described in its privacy policy.

Analytics data collected through GA4 is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted by Google. Contact form submissions and email correspondence are retained for up to two years, then deleted unless an ongoing relationship requires otherwise.

Data Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the information collected through this website. Our site is served over HTTPS, and we use access controls to limit who can view subscriber data and analytics. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

AMCollege.us is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through our site, please contact us at privacy@amcollege.us.

Your Rights Under the CCPA

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you specific rights regarding your personal information:

Right to Know. You can request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

Right to Delete. You can request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale. We do not sell personal information. This right is noted here for completeness, but there is no sale of data to opt out of.

Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

To submit a CCPA request, email privacy@amcollege.us with the subject line “CCPA Request” and a description of your request. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days as required by law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
